5 Unhealthy Foods That Could Be Making You Very Sick!

Any list of unhealthy foods could contain any number of items – there’s the infamous fast food, there are colas, there are fried foods, and sweets – the list can actually go on and on. But then we all know about those ones and most of us wanting to lead a healthy life automatically eliminate these things from our diets.
 
The sad news is that in their place we have so-called ‘healthy’ stuff – but even some of these are actually quite unhealthy and can leave you sick                                                                  in the long run! 
 
Here’s a list of 8 such items:
#1 Whole Milk
While milk contains quite a few healthy components like:
Calcium
Potassium
Protein
Vitamin D
 
But on the downside – while milk is very high in saturated fats. These are bad for your cholesterol levels and heart health. Switch to skim milk instead.


 
 
 
#2 Bagels
You may have thought these are good – but all bagels are made from white refined flour – so that’s basically white starch – having no fiber. In fact with the fiber quite a bit of the  nutrients  in the flour are also removed. So it’s just white carb that isn’t really healthy for you! In fact, the fact that bagels are really dense only increases the amount of carb contained in each!

 
 
#3 Breakfast toaster pastries
Many take these to be a healthy breakfast alternative. But beware of that lie! These are just white flour and loads of sugar – nothing good about either! Yes, your body needs an energy source for breakfast – but this kind isn’t the kind you want! This will give you an initial sugar high, but only to follow it up with a complete flat lining in your energy graph mid-morning. So say no to this unhealthy breakfast next time.

 
#4 Stick Margarine
Quite often people replace butter with margarine to be ‘healthy’. But the real fact is that margarine is actually loaded with trans fats. These are actually6 toxic for your body! The trans fat really raises your cholesterol levels and causes damage to your blood vessels. It does the exact opposite of being healthy – it actually makes your waistline increase! A healthy replacement? Soft tub margarine or other non-fat spreads.
 
 
#5 Lean processed meat
You’d think meat is protein and lean means no fat. But the moment it is processed, it will contain preservatives and maybe even chemicals. And of course, always remember that processed meats are usually made from animals that are given growth hormones – and these can never be good for you!

 
 
#6 Popcorn 
So, popcorn may have seemed like a healthy alternative to potato crisps which are loaded with fat. But unfortunately popcorn is no better! You say that your homemade microwave version is better. Then wait – because the package actually contains harmful substances that leech out into the popcorn when you pop them in the microwave! 
 
And so eventually they do go into your system…
There is no end to unhealthy food – and with more and more ingredients being subjected to growth supplements or genetic modifications – few things actually remain safe! But unhealthy foods need to be eliminated for your health. So take the trouble to find out about the food you buy, cook and eat. And only eat that which you are sure about!
